Yvonne Elder
HR Assistant
Working in both primary and secondary schools since 2009, Yvonne has a wealth of experience in school administration. Joining the Trust in September 2015 at the then newly established Finberry Primary School, Yvonne’s establishment of all administration aspects of the new school office, establishing links with all relevant companies/bodies and the local authority from the ground up was an essential component of the school’s future success.
Yvonne’s administration and organisational skills were recognized quickly by the Trust as being needed at Lansdowne Primary School in Sittingbourne, a much larger, challenging school. Leading the Admin Team at Lansdowne from May 2016, Yvonne, before moving to her current role, was one of the longest serving Office Managers in the Trust, working with and supporting many other admin staff at schools across Kent.
In addition, in May 2017, Yvonne was appointed as the Clerk to the Board of Directors and Members. In this role Yvonne provides administrative and organisational support to the Board and various sub committees as well as advice on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
With her extensive admin experience, Yvonne became part of the growing Trust Central Team in September 2021 where as PA, she supports the CEO and wider Central Team by liaising with Teachers, Office staff and Senior Leaders from schools across the MAT as well as external companies, other MATS and government departments.
Prior to working in schools Yvonne worked in the finance sector for 18 years, passing her banking exams in 2001 and working primarily as a mortgage advisor/administrator and then specialising in mortgage complaints.
Yvonne has a passion for supporting those in need. Previously a Director for almost 4 years, Yvonne is currently Chairperson at a residential home for adults with learning difficulties – a position she has held for over 10 years. Giving back to the community through sport is also important for Yvonne who is a welfare officer at Herne Bay Youth Football Club.
