With over 12 years’ experience as a senior social worker in front line children and families and 4 and a half years with the Kent and Medway Out of Hours Services, Sarah joined The Stour Academy Trust in 2016 as Trust Safeguarding Lead. Sarah has the overall responsibility of the day-to-day arrangements for safeguarding and child protection systems and works with school staff and other external agencies such as Early Help, Children’s Social Care and CAMHS in the best interests of our children and families. 

Gaining her Diploma in Social Work in 2003, Sarah is a registered social worker with Social Work England. Having completed her BSc (Hons) in Children and Families Practice Education in 2013, Sarah is also a practice educator for newly qualified social workers and students.
