Speech and Language Lead
Lily has recently joined the Stour Academy Trust as Speech and Language Lead. After gaining her BSc (Hons) in Speech Pathology and Therapy in 2012, Lily has worked as a Speech and Language therapist in both mainstream and specialist schools for the past 10 years. Lily’s role is to support schools in identifying and supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs. Working across the eight schools in the Trust, collaborating with SENCOs and teaching staff, Lily is able to conduct assessments and develop individualised intervention programmes for children.
Lily is also working closely with the Central Team this year to develop a speech and language strategy which will ensure that every child in the Stour Academy Trust has a voice. Part of Lily’s role is to provide training sessions and support staff development. Lily has recently completed her Elklan Tutor Training, meaning she is qualified to deliver accredited courses to teaching staff and parents. Lily is passionate about neurodiversity, advocating for greater awareness and inclusion for all children with speech, language, and communication needs.
