Katy Gill

With over 20 years’ experience working for Sturry CE Primary School, Katy played a significant role in the formation and rapid growth of The Stour Academy Trust. As Trust IT Lead, Katy has overall responsibility for the Trust’s IT network, ensuring the Trust’s IT strategy and infrastructure allow the organisation to achieve its 21^st century vision for education. Having considerable experience in developing IT infrastructure for new schools from the ground up, Katy has overseen all aspects of IT during the construction of two entirely new schools along with numerous building expansions across the Trust.

Katy covers all areas of IT support, working not only with the staff across the eight schools in the Trust but also identifying and resolving IT issues with parents. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Katy’s remote support to children and parents was heavily praised and was a major factor in the Trust’s successful implementation of high-quality remote learning.
