To continue providing quality-learning opportunities for children whilst school closures are in place, today saw the launch of The Stour Academy Trust’s online home learning videos and resources for pupils and parents to access at home.

Every day, the Trust is releasing an online Mathematics and English lesson for every year group, as well as a weekly science and topic lesson. Working remotely in teams to ensure social distancing, teachers from across the Trust have been working tirelessly to plan and record lessons for children to access. With two lessons every day for each year group, plus a weekly topic and science lesson, staff have been working around the clock to plan, record and share over 84 videos a week.
The Home Learning Lessons are not just limited to children attending a school in The Stour Academy Trust. We are making the lessons available to all children in order to support the schools may not have the technology and resources available to provide online lessons to their children.
Within the first 30 minutes of its launch, the lessons were accessed by over 1000 pupils.
Videos on the first day drew in over 4,000 views.
Since launching on Tuesday, the videos have been viewed over 10,000 times.
