Two Primary Schools on the Isle of Sheppey have taken inspiration from CBeebies to film bed time stories for their children and parents to enjoy at home.
Richmond Academy in Sheerness and Thistle Hill Academy in Minster-on-Sea have both shared the bed time stories on facebook as part of an initiative to promote reading for pleasure.
Headteacher of Thistle Hill Academy, Mrs Annette Bevan said: “We take responsibility as teachers for the teaching of reading and pledge to support parents in encouraging children to read at home. We hope our children will love being able to watch their teachers read to them and the reaction from parents so far have been lovely”.
