Schools this job is for

Adisham CE Primary School

Sturry CE Primary School

Water Meadows Primary School

The Stour Academy Trust are looking to recruit enthusiastic and resilient class teachers to start September 2020.

Due to the collaborative nature of the Trust, these vacancies could be at any one of the following schools:

Water Meadows Primary School

Water Meadows was graded Outstanding for Leadership and Early Years in March 2019, with Overall Effectiveness grade Good. A new housing development opposite the school means the school is benefitted from the addition of four new classrooms and a new library, opening in September 2020. This is the perfect opportunity to join a team that is soon to begin a new chapter in the history of the school.

Sturry CE Primary School

Having been the sponsor school of The Stour Academy Trust since its formation in 2012, Sturry CE Primary School remains at the forefront of providing outstanding teaching and learning. An Outstanding two-form entry school, Sturry is oversubscribed in early years for 2019 and remains a popular primary school in the Canterbury area.

Adisham CE Primary School

Adisham was rated as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in September 2017, with inspectors praising the school’s “clear and ambitious leadership” and “polite and respectful” pupils.

An Outstanding half-form entry school, Adisham is oversubscribed in early years for 2019 and remains a popular primary school in the Canterbury area. With small year group sizes, Adisham benefits from the Trust’s high-quality training and opportunities for staff whilst maintaining its ‘community and family’ atmosphere.

At interview* we will be able to discuss with you about the potential opportunities available at each school – please use the links above to see more details about each school or visit our websites and social media pages.

*Due to the current government enacted closure of schools in response to the COVID-19 outbreak interviews will be conducted remotely, either by video conferencing or on the phone. If you recently applied for a vacancy in Canterbury (March 2020) prior to the closure of schools there is no need to reapply – we have all previous applications and these will be considered in the short listing also.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. Please note that references may be requested prior to interview, at least one reference must be from your most recent employer.

We can offer all successful applicants:

  • permanent contract
  • Opportunity to move to other schools within the Trust
